SIM DORO CLINIC



AMHF actively supports this clinic operated by the mission SIM, providing operational funding, staff and supplies. 30K+ locals and refugees access treatment annually. Services include a nutrition village, primary and urgent care, leprosy treatment and maternal services, including labor and delivery.



South Sudan Medical Relief



Run by the amazing Dr. Jill Seaman, winner of the Macarthur genius award, South Sudan Medical Relief focuses on treatment of infectious diseases, especially TB. The facility cares for upwards of 50K clients annually. AMHF provides funding for running costs.

Started in the middle of a meningitis epidemic, IDAT now focuses on maternal-child health, caring for 20K clients each year. AMHF has assisted with construction of a new clinic building, medical supplies, and training of physician assistants.

The South Sudan Ministry of Health has identified a critical need for trained anesthetists. AMHF has sponsored two dozen nurses to train at a specialized program in Kenya,



Cataract surgery





Cataracts are the leading cause of blindness in South Sudan. AMHF has sponsored 2,000 cataract corrective procedures at less than $50 per surgery.



Jane, Physician Assistant Student





Jane is from western South Sudan and lost her mother while still young. With sponsorship from AMHF she is studying to become a physician assistant.



Safe Motherhood Program, Ezo County





AMHF partnered with Catholic Medical Mission Board to sponsor a safe other hood program in an area of very high maternal and infant mortality. The program trained birth attendants, renovated the maternity, and provided supplies. Mothers like Anastasia were saved, resulting in a >95% reduction in maternal mortallity.
